When Dominic reached out looking for a proposal photographer in Manchester at Manchester University where they met, I knew it would be special. Photographing a proposal is such a big moment and has grown massivley in popularity over the recent years and I can absolutley see why. I absolutely love photographing a proposal because it’s such a special and intimate moment to be a part of. Although they come with a lot of emotions and anxiety, the moments of build up and suprise are so beautiful to whitness and be a part of. Proposal photography is definitely one of my new favourite things. 

Manchester Proposal Photography

Usually when someone reaches out looking for a Manchester proposal photographer the process of organising the proposal photography takes a little bit of planning to choose the right place and time. After some emails back and forth, and sometimes a video call, we work together to plan your perfect proposal. Sometimes, the partner contacting me knows exactly what they want already and have already chosen the time and location, but other times they ask for some help planning. Whatever you decide, I’m here to assist however much you need to create a smooth process.

How to Plan Proposal Photography

There’s two main type of proposal photography; from a distance when one partner has no idea there’s a photographer nearby or a photography shoot that turns into a proposal. Deciding your preference is completely up to you and whatever feels best for you as a couple.

For a discrete proposal photographer shoot it definitely requires more planning as the other partner will hopefully have no idea I’m around. In this case, we deide on a location and a time and scout out exactly when and where the proposal will happen. We discuss where you’ll be so I’m in the perfect position so that you can’t see me but I can see you both and the moments that unfold. Private proposal photography is so special because after the proposal has happened and you’ve had a moment together, you can choose to either end the photography there or I can make myself known and then I can take some photos of you together in the newly engaged bliss.
