Alice and Caroline’s fun and colourful Manchester University wedding was an epic celebration. As a colourful wedding photographer Manchester, I’m always so excited when I get to work at some beautiful local venues. Alice and Caroline had both their ceremony and party at the Manchester University, located in the heart of Manchester city centre. They decorated with a rainbow theme, embracing all of the colour with their décor, flowers and even the confetti. Their ceremony was full of personal readings and poems and the room was full of happy tears. After the ceremony, everyone headed outside for the confetti. Alice and Caroline definitely understood the assignment and brought a lot of confetti with colours that span the entire rainbow, keeping in with their colourful wedding theme.

Colourful Wedding Photography

After being showered in a literal rainbow, it was time for fizz and ice cream. They hired a vintage ice cream cart with personalised ice cream and sorbet flavours which went down an absolute hit with all the guests, and myself of course! While all the guests were called into the main hall for food, we had a little walk to take some pictures. I of course had to incorporate the iconic university arch into the images and the beautiful brickwork was covered in ivy which looked epic. Alice and Caroline were full of smiles and laughter and were up for anything which made their photos so easy. Relaxed wedding photography is my absolute favourite way to photograph couples, and Alice and Caroline were brining all of the easy going, relaxed and happy vibes which shines through in their images.

Fun Wedding Photography

Their tables were named after important life events and it made for great conversation starters. The speeches were hilarious and no one there was taking themselves too seriously. Speeches included funny old photos and embarrassing stories from early dating days. It was so nice to be in a room full of people who were genuinely happy. I had an amazing time and loved being a part of Alice and Caroline’s fun, relaxed and non-traditional Manchester wedding.
