Best Barn Wedding Venues Manchester

If you’re planning a mega wedding party in a Manchester barn wedding venue, I’m going to list all the best barn wedding venues Manchester has to offer. Barn weddings offer something completely unique and provide a great atmosphere for a fun wedding. There’s different types of barn wedding venues in Manchester, ranging from more rustic and actual working farms, to more styalised barn venues that are more barn in style rather than function.

1. Thornsett Fields Farm Wedding Barn

Thornsett Field Farm is one of my favourite barn wedding venues. Thornsett Fields is a working farm for the majority of the year which means they have lots of animals around and the venue has no other buildings around so it’s very quiet and private. The barn itself is spacious and full of beautiful light and you’re able to fully customise the decor and style of your day. It’s one of my favourite barn wedding venues and I’ve photographed some beautiful weddings there – I can’t wait to go back!

Mel and Adam’s super relaxed wedding at Thornsett Field Farm was amazing and you can see how the venue would easily become a favourite. Click here to have a look at their wedding.

2. Oak Tree of Peover

The Oak Tree of Peover is a stunning converted golf course turned wedding venue, but you could never tell looking at it now. There’s beautiful floor to ceiling windows in the main room which is perfect for filling the room with natural light for the meal and speeches. The ceremony room is a good size and has a really cozy feel without being too big or too small. It’s a really beautiful venue with lots to offer and I always look forward to photographing weddings here at all times of the year.

3. Bashall Barn

Bashall Barn is in the heart of Clitheroe’s countryside. It used to be a working dairy farm but transitioned into a farm shop and wedding venue over the years. There’s the option to get married in the venue or on the grounds outside and both options offer beautiful backdrops. The barn has lots of land surrounding with is fab for pictures and they still have cows on the farm which is fun to visit.

4. Own House Wedding Barn

Owen House Wedding Barn is a staple in the Cheshire countryside. It’s iconically known for its fun and quirky interior with their wall of antique doors, the haybale room adjacent to the ceremony room and my favourite room; the disco ball fairy light room which is a fabulous photo spot.

5. The Wellbeing Farm

The Wellbeing Farm is located north of Manchester in Bolton. This venue is perfect for avid DIY couples and those who love the outdoors. If you get excited by the idea of your pets or animals at your wedding, you’ll love that there’s donkeys and llamas that live on the farm and can be brought for you and your guests to cuddle. This venue is a blank canvas and can be customised however you fancy.

6. Stock Farm

Stock Farm, sometimes called Tatton Weddings, is a newly made barn wedding venue in Cheshire. The barn has fairy lights already hanging inside but still has a blank enough canvas for you to decorate how you wish. The venue itself is one main barn, so after the ceremony, the entire barn opens up for the feasting and dancing and creates a really cosy and relaxed vibe which is perfect for those fun, non-traditional barn wedding vibes.

7. The Outbarn

The Outbarn is one of the iconic barn wedding venues in the heart of Clitheroe, just north of Manchester. You can have your wedding all in one place with this converted barn venue. With floor-to-ceiling windows which overlook Pendle Hill and its own morning prep suits, everything you need is right there. There’s no one around for miles so you can party all night long and not be disturbed, too, which is a mega bonus for all you party-loving couples out there!

I work at The Outbarn at least once a year and it’s definitely a venue I recommend to couples all the time. Click here to look at some of my wedding blogs from The Outban.

8. Meols Hall Tithe Barn

Meols Hall is a beautiful barn wedding venue in the Southport area and it’s a rustic 12th Century Tithe Barn and is the perfect venue for cosy and intimate weddings. With one main barn area that acts as the ceremony room and party room, it’s perfect for those couples who want a laid-back and easy wedding in a comforting and beautiful barn venue, adorned with epic chandeliers.

9. Wyresdale Park

Wyresdale Park is an English country estate nestled in the forest of Bowland in Lancashire. The main wedding venue is split into three wedding barns for each part of the day – ceremony, reception and evening party. Wyresdale Park has a beautiful blank canvas of white walls and big windows with greenery throughout, the perfect stylish backdrop for a barn wedding.

10. Sandhole Oak Barn

Sandhole Oak Barn in nestled in the Cheshire countryside and has lovely surrounding greenery. The venue can host your entire day from morning prep and ceremony until late night dancing. The ceremony room has a lush back wall of fairy lights to set the romantic mood and the main barn has that traditional barn look with bare wood beams. If you’re a lover of nature, you’ll love the huge lake and leafy surroundings for this rustic barn wedding venue.

11. Styall Lodge

Styal Lodge is part of Styal club, however, golf isn’t something that comes to mind when you see Styal Lodge. A family run barn with a cosy log cabin feel, the barn has access to the grounds and iconic lake which is a firm favourite amongst couples to have some portraits. There’s an abundance of fairy lights and mood lighting to create a warm and comforting atmosphere for laid back weddings.

13. Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey

The Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey is an absolute stunner of a venue for the lovers of historic and rustic barn style wedding venues.
