BARN WEDDING MANCHESTER – A FUN OUTDOOR WEDDING AT THORNSETT FIELDS FARM 

Mel and Adam’s outdoor wedding barn wedding Manchester at Thornsett Fields Farm was so so much fun! It was a quirky and colourful wedfest with lawn games, street food and the friendly farm sheep – Mabel!

Outdoor Barn Ceremony 

Mel and Adam had a gorgeous humanist ceremony in the grounds just outside the barn which was the perfect mix of super relaxed and personal. Having a humanist ceremony allowed them to get married outside and it was so great to photograph their ceremony against the rolling hills of the Peak District in the background. They had an amazing confetti throw which is one of my all time favourite things to photograph and the whole atmosphere was so chilled out.

Honestly, Mel and Adam’s wedding ticked all of the boxes for a nontraditional barn wedding. They had nibbles out for their guests to enjoy and lawn games in the front and back of the barn. A few of the guests brought their dogs along and they were able to chill in the sun and have a great time playing with the guests and running around the huge open space available. 

The golden hour light was perfect for the portraits! We went for a little walk down the lane which was lit perfectly by golden glow, and we were even allowed into the green to take some pictures with the farm sheep, Mabel! It was so fun and such a unique experience.

The barn was decorated with stunning fresh wildflowers. The blooms were so fresh and colourful and added so much personality to the space! Hanging lanterns decorated the ceiling and fairylights hung along the walls to create a really cosy and fun space. Mel and Adam had printed pictures of themselves hanging on the walls to make the space really personal and added some fun DIY details to their decor!

For the evening entertainment Mel and Adam had all of the fun! Mechanical bulls, fresh pizza street food, live music and funny costumes for their guests to shimmy in all night long. It was such a fun wedding that was so full of laughter and happy people having a great time. Mel and Adams nontraditional farm wedding was so much fun and Thornsett Fields Farm is definitley one of my favourite north west farm/barn wedding venues!

I loved this wedding so much – fun weddings are just the best! Mel & Adam made their day so relaxed, personal and fun AND it was still absolutley beautiful!  If you’re getting married at Thornsett Fields Farm, in a farm/barn or just somewhere really fun then I’d LOVE to hear from you!
