Bombed Out Church Wedding Photographer

I’m excited to share Kerry and Chris’ Bombed Out Church wedding photos and their really informal and chilled wedding day. The St. Lukes Bombed Out Church is an amazing church ruin in Liverpool and it’s a great space for a relaxed wedding. You can have your whole wedding there or just your ceremony, which is what Kerry and Chris decided to do. 

St. Lukes Bombed Out Church Wedding

I went to spend the morning with Kerry as she got ready in her home and her whole immediate family was there to bring positive vibes and a calm atmosphere. Afterwards, we headed to the St. Lukes Bombed Out Church wedding ceremony led by Chris’ sister and read from a vintage comic book. Them during the ceremony, Kerry and Chris said their personal vows and gave each other a personalised beer.

Their Bombed Out Church wedding was super personal and I felt like I really knew both of them after the ceremony, another reason why celebrant weddings are my favourite. After a covering in hand-dried rose confetti, we did their group photos at the Bombed Out Church and then walked through the streets of Liverpool to get to the brewery for their super relaxed party. I love photographing city centre weddings, and Liverpool makes the perfect backdrop for walking through the streets. We arrived at the brewery and the party started in full force.

At the brewery, everyone settled into the relaxed vibes of the day and the surroundings and grabbed a beer to chill. The speeches were sweet, funny and personal under the marquee outside. Afterwards, instead of cutting a cake, Kerry and Chris pulled the first pint to start the real celebrations. Everyone loved this, as did I – it was such a unique way to abandon tradition and replace it with something they really loved; beer! The party started and the band got everyone dancing. It was such a fun night with everyone, including Chirs’ grandma, dancing the night away.
