Mel and Adam's wedding at Thornsett Fields Farm was simply delightful. The barn itself was decorated with DIY rustic details, hay bales and an abundance of fresh, home grown flowers, and surrounded by the beautiful hills of The Peak District, Mel and Adam had the perfect backdrop for their countryside wedding.
Their ceremony took place outside, and with the sun appearing from behind the clouds, and surrounded by their family and friends, they said 'I do', sealing their vows with laughter and a kiss. Their ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, with tender stories of how their relationship had grown. Mel and Adam walked back down the isle as man and wife, showered with confetti.
Their reception was held in the barn where fresh canapés and street food were served, and topped off with a homemade wedding cake gifted to the couple from a close friend.
We decided to shoot the couples portraits at golden hour which is my absolute favourite time of day for couples pictures; it gives the images a soft, warm and romantic glow which I love. We had the treat of meeting the resident sheep, Mabel, and her lambs, and snapped some pictures of Mel and Adam feeding her. We had a little walk around the fields which gave Mel and Adam a few moments together away from the excitement at their reception.
The evening ended with games, dressing up, pizza and a mechanical bull as the sun set over the farm.
It was a pleasure to capture Mel and Adam's day with Cassandra.
